Due
to the difficulty in the design of analog IC's (number of
design variables) and their dependence to external factors
(process, technology) it is essential the development of new
design methodologies which embrace the trade-off between certain
specifications of the circuit and their relationship with
the design variables (size of transistors). This methodologies
should approach as much as possible to the automated and optimization
in the design.
Application
of Geommetric Programming in the Design and Optimization of
Integrated Operational Amplifiers.
Taking advantage of the benefit that offers the convex optimization
and the advances in the algorithms solution of such problems,
the problem of the analog design adapts to be resolved as
a problem of geometric programming.
In the validation of this results it is designed three amplifiers
operational type folded cascode, telescopic and complementary
pair.
